Revelations

You might well ask, what in the world would make a man of this calibre deem it necessary reveal himself to the public. A good question as it is obvious I have no love for the great unwashed that call themselves the human race. The dealings of greedy corporate executives congratulating themselves on their latest acquisitions, the grasping of the moderately talented star who has been catapulted into fame by a careful PR machine, the vanity of the political beast who believes in his own press, they all live a precarious existence for they only exist as long as I allow them their privilege. Here the intricacies of my world is revealed to you, whether you understand them is not of my concern as I will allow you insight but how you view it is the dominion of the tiny receptacle you call a brain. The truth is that I see myself as something of a visionary, not a giant amongst men, but a man amongst midgets and if you happen to be within my world this vision should encompass you as well.

The poor and hungry, the sick and feeble, the old and weary of this world, these people are the biggest crime inflicted upon us by this ridiculous modern philosophy of social responsibility. It encourages greed and laziness, and its dependency creates the miseries of sickness and death. People so warp the figures as to give the impression it is poverty which kills, but the truth is it is laziness, the unwillingness to recognize your place in life, the acceptance that you will be a lackey to one greater, for there is always one greater until you finally reach me. Is this hubris, am I the product of years of indulgence, perhaps you think I am not in touch with the realities of this world, perhaps you think I hide behind my designer consumer durables in my designer world. Nothing is further than the truth, as it is the one the one so removed from reality that they cannot see the facts of their pallid existence, that their entire lives have been mapped out in a series of predictable events dominated by the choices that my world and my family have made.

If I had something to impart to those beings whose grubby bodies clog the streets of this town then I would reveal their truth, and snap them out of this terrible cycle. I would instruct them to lose the corruption of their illusion that they deserve to leave their current existence for a better, more decent one. Since my ancestors so carefully planned their current plight, I find myself under no obligation to encourage the belief that they might leave it without my permission. What they will discover is the only existence they have is what I allow and at this time I choose to remove myself from the filth that calls itself humanity for they weary me with their whining.

I sit atop the highest building in Bishop Vale, a huge monument built to glorify the Dubois name, none can enter the town without knowing who we are and none leave the town without the fingers of our influence firmly upon their neck whether they feel them or not. I will watch the world beneath me, acutely aware that everyone in that world is where they belong, beneath me, and I consider if I will destroy in one instance or promote in another. Sometimes I serve to keep my errant family in check and sometimes my family in what I can only call moments of pure insanity attempt to keep me in check. I sit here master of all that I see and am indeed a man without equal.
