I discovered from one of my more reliable sources that the younger son of Vanderhag managed to get himself not only engaged but also managed to announce it in a drunken lapse during his mother’s soiree last night. This would put him out of the reach of my dear cousin, at least for the time being and may encourage minxie to be she might be safe from my attentions. I realised that such naive thoughts need to be nipped in the bud as I was not about to allow a certain monkey boy to usurp my position in her life so I set about arranging the lives of those around me in order to do exactly that.
I remembered that in passing I had heard something about the aspirations of the younger son of the hag and monkey boy starting some type of endeavour which encouraged young men to gather sweat whilst jumping over cliffs of course the answer to my problem was quite obvious, the best way to rid myself of two troublesome young bucks is to give them exactly what they wanted.
I had my business manager call them up upon short notice and with a pack of ill assorted and rather transparent lies convinced them that I was eager to invest in their brilliance, unbelievable as it is these silly lads believed every word and were only too happy to sign upon the dotted line. This contract had the codicil that they were to follow the sports circuit for the next few months in order to cultivate a network of potential customers and resources and they happily signed their souls and lives away for a chance to make their own mark in the world. I wonder how minxie would feel knowing he had tossed her aside in without a second thought for a pile of gold and the chance to escape the embarrassment he calls a family.
Today I was the imperceptible being for I was certain once minxie heard the news that she would require a little time to digest the true impact I was about to have upon her life. Sometimes you don’t have to anything at all to get what you want it is amazing how the machinations of manipulation is my true aphrodisiac.
