Savouring the Moment

How rewarding is it to savour the sweet taste of power, to manipulate, to create events, to control and organise others into the arenas that I have chosen for them, and I do enjoy choosing the fates of others. Minxie felt the power of my reach today and I hope it will deter her from anymore of her foolish decisions. I called Caspar and told him that the mountain was to be banished and to find a method of doing it, Caspar of course went limp and could not begin to fabricate a way to remove him so I had to make all the arrangements as usual.

I had a truck of linen fail to arrive at its destination then called Caspar to inform him he was missing it then I suggested he then send minxie out on a goose chase while removing Simon from the premises. One hour later Caspar called to inform me the deed was done and I could tell from the tremor in his voice that he had feared doing this, for had the mountain objected it could have been a messy situation, despite Caspar’s firm and fit body I am uncertain he actually knows what a muscle is for.

I asked him how he had taken his release and a perplexed Caspar replied that he was quite cheerful about it all, left the place whistling. Again I am thwarted by the vagaries of this ignorant hulk, he appears to be nonchalant in his challenge of me which I find confounding as he of all people is well aware of what I can do to those who cross me. Simon had been an easygoing fellow in our youth and the fact he maintains this façade in all things minxie angers me as he is not the clean cut young man he portrays.

Caspar said minxie called Simon the second she heard the news and then to all purposes appeared as unconcerned as he was. I was hoping for a little tantrum or some similar reward for my actions and again I am left with other plans to spin for if the two of them are going to counter with nonchalance then I shall counter with ghosts from the past. Simon will need a little prodding but he will depart from the life of my darling, even if I have to wrench him from it.
