A Twining of Souls

A Twining of Souls

She sat with him in her house today, doing whatever she would do to soil herself with that mountain. She kept him there hoping to keep me at bay but I was not going to let this moment slip away from my fingers so I ensured I knew her every move that day as I had the hawks of misfortune keeping very close tabs on her. This was the most unbelievable turns of good fortune I had come across in many years and I could scarcely contain the joy of knowing her true ancestry. It explained so many things to me why I was compelled to bring her into the family, why she fascinated me, why she stood up to me whilst terrified, even her poor choice in men, as reflected by my sister and cousin. I could feel the Dubois blood burning in her veins as easily as I felt my own and I rejoiced in the knowledge. Minxie was mine forever no matter where she went or what she did, this was the greatest of gifts.

I waited until the second after of his departure and then I called my precious keeping her teetering on the edge of hysteria while I ran through the local gossip while enjoying the sharp graze of agony in her every breath. Then after I had toyed enough I welcomed her into the family which had her give forth a strange gurgling sound which turned into a choking sound once I offered to host a nice big party to honour the event. Minxie lapsed into her usual abusive fury—I could feel my loins harden to the music of her torment and I knew that life had become so much sweeter.

I pondered my plan for the dissolution of her friends engagement and realised that dear minxie in her attempts to thwart me would be a most amusing foe. Of course she was no match for me unless I could convince her to come to the compound for then she could utilize the family resources and be the opponent I had longed for in Liselle. My dear minxie had none of the glacial aloofness of my sister nor the spiteful venom of my cousin, no minxie was pure clean fury and that made the most interesting of enemies. I adored her more at this moment than I have in all our skirmishes for now I had truly found the mate I had been looking, aching for. Minxie was mine for eternity and I ensured that she understood this in my call as she needed to know that our new bond was one that nothing in the universe could tea asunder. I cancelled all my appointments for the rest of the day and considered how to ruin all her friends one by one as life was now an endless fount of malicious joy.
