The Charade of Charlatans

The Charade of Charlatans

Once that I had been informed of the arrival of the Nordic princess and the idiot boy at the home of my precious I knew that their little interlude had been no more than an attempt to appear that they had fulfilled my expectations. I knew this little charade was at the instigation of the princess for the surf idiot would not have gumption enough to invent much less implement anything resembling a plan. I expect their confession to Minxie would mean that their assignations were on the rise again and soon I would be faced with the results of their maniac decisions. I knew that whatever course of action they agree upon, now there is a thought--- a group of women in agreement, they are bound to execute it immediately prior to or during my gala.

Since I have some very particular plans for that particular night I realised that if this distraction was no longer viable I was going to have to consider another method of causing disarray in their little group. I considered accosting Elyce for I seriously doubted that once in my company she would be able to maintain her little act of rebellion. I had noticed that she had been keeping a distance between myself and even my sister mentioned the lack of her presence. I assume this was so she could retain the secrets of the group. Since Elyce was determined to give her best impression of a ghost, I considered sending my sister in to upset the equilibrium but Liselle since losing the sop back to his wife was again preoccupied with clandestine meetings with a lover with about as much worth as a barren vine.

Even Ladonna has kept a low profile after her upper floor refit, perhaps she feels this will safeguard the new locks on her new doors, such foolish aspirations! With the women in the family keeping a distance more guarded than usual, I have to admit that for a moment I reflected upon the chance of them being in league with Minxie in a manner more serious than their current flirtation. I quickly reconsidered this passing moment for unlike my precious, they have had a lifetime of experiencing my displeasure therefore they are unlikely to incur it voluntarily. I found myself flooded with whimsical plans of amusing revenge for this back and forth of thwarting each other, this subliminal struggle for power between my sweet and I is a consuming, arousing courtship and I as much as I long to savour every moment, am driven by a lust that demands action.

Instead of action however, I find myself keeping a close eye upon the far too many young men who stray into her path by choice or circumstance and long for the moment when she is an official Dubois and therefore beyond the reach of even the most foolish of souls. I waited for the rest of her merry band of mayhem to arrive but it seems the visit from this these turnips was impromptu which gives me hope that Minxie has no knowledge of their imprudent enterprise. Their charade found out, my charade impending, her charade obvious, it is all part of the game they play unknowing that the stakes could be the continuance of life as they know it. I do not go about murdering people willynilly, I leave that to the clumsy exploits of criminals. If I wish a person gone I do it simply, first I remove their affections, then I remove their status, finally I remove their income and they sink back into the depths of the hoi polloi to annoy me no more.

I considered many actions designed to get her attention but that would spoil the game, then she might chose to no longer play and for my plans to come to fruition I require her at my gala, glowing with her hate and passion for a broken spirit makes for a poor bedfellow. When she screams into my mouth, I want to taste her hate as she feels my desire burning her within. Minxie my love all good things come to those who can afford the result and I my love, can afford everything.
