The Deception of Tranquillity

The Deception of Tranquillity

Serenity overcame me and I sat within a deception of calm as those around me were industrious with corporate bustle. It was time for me to lay my expectations at her door and if my darling Minx did not acquiesce to my demands then I would be forced to compel her. However, I do not underestimate the intelligence of my love and I am confident she has the wherewithal to comprehend the gravity of breaking our accord. Lucinda has agreed to come to the compound where she will be formally introduced to the world as a Dubois via some extravaganza overseen by the vast Ladonna or the remote Liselle. While I have wrapped my intent within the illusion of her presentation to society, Minxie is well aware of my desires and the expected outcome. This is my moment, the line is drawn and if my precious makes the foolish decision to renege upon our arrangement then I will destroy the remnants of her world and turn her heart to dust.

Once informed of the departure of the golden boy I sat for a moment, phone in hand, savouring the pleasure of what was about to transpire. Although I had waited for what appears to be an eternity I did not want to rush into the final moments before my desire consumes every aspect of her, even her identity. She will leave her quaint home upon the hill as Lucinda Petalle, she will enter the compound as Lucinda Dubois and never will she return to the dubious right of her own autonomy. From these moments all that concerns Minxie, concerns me and all she is allowed will be allowed by me. I shall be the beginning and the end to her world and if she does not succumb to my will then I shall have the divine pleasure of breaking her until she does. For in the end all who deal with a Dubois recognise their only avenue to survival is surrender.

I called and when the soft tease of her voice answered I held my breath for nothing is more vulgar than the revelation of emotion. She knew it was I as our link is forged by the iron will of our blood, from centuries of unbridled passion, of silent acknowledgement of like minds, we are but one, we are Dubois. Lucinda spoke, her voice crisp with dislike, making my groin ache and my heart long to rape her down unto her very soul.

“What do you want Gervais?”

The redundant question might insult a lesser being but I find her barely contained hostility an aphrodisiac beyond compare. Since I was feeling nice I indulged in some niceties for I am after all if nothing, a man without equal. Her snort, again music to my ears, brought me back to task for as indulgent as this little detour there was still a communiqué to attend. There would be no more leeway for wardrobe, household responsibility or friends, it was time for Lucinda to accept her family obligation, her obligation to me.

“We are all heady with anticipation of your arrival.”

Minxie kept her voice light as if puzzled by my expectation, it was no less than I expected from her as Dubois women are very adept at the game of survival.

“Anticipation of my arrival, surely you have more interesting things to occupy your time Gervais?”

As charming and adept as her avoidance of direct response was, I had no more patience to give to the matter. It was time to draw the line for my precious had exhausted all the leeway I would ever give.

“You have two days and then I will send a car for you.”

“Two days.”

She repeated and the falter in her voice was all that I required for she knew that I knew there was no circumvention of this actuality. Lucinda belonged with me, to me and I had come to claim what is mine.

Minxie hung up without further ado, whether her plans included running to the eldest sop of Vanderhag, commiseration from her friends or even betrayal from the women within our family unit, I did not care. The moment of reckoning has come and as I sat back into my chair I closed my eyes and savoured the deconstruction of Minxie in very slow motion.
